Aviator Trip Pack II (ATP) is the second generation of this support software for IFR and VFR pilots. ATP uses databases from National Aeronautical Charting Office (NACO), Airport/Facility Directories (e-A/FDs), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Facility Directory, Direct User Access Terminal (DUATS), and the National Weather Service (NOAA/NWS) to provide a single, seamless view of all of these resources.
ATP maintains an local cache, on your computer, of all the procedures that you have viewed so if you are without internet access you will still be able to use them. These procedures will be refreshed automatically, on you computer, each time they are updated,
ATP allows you select the procedures, airport diagrams, facilities information, and weather you desire, from the available databases, and arrange them in the sequence that works best for you, and create a single PDF file that you can display and/or print. With the functionally of your PDF reader and the capabilities of your printer you can produce the output in many different formats like: two sided, and/or multiple procedures per page.
The system is designed to be easy to use, just point-and-click and drag-and-drop and a minimum of keyboard input to facilitate use on a tablet PC using a stylus. You may have a portable device like a Kindle or Sony reader, iPad, iPhone, or touch iPod that you would like to use to display your Trip Pack results. By selecting Export from the Trip Pack menu ATP will copy the files to the Export folder with names that will be useful to you.
